Many people starting their own business ask me “Do I need a website at all”, sometimes confusing a website with a Google business card. So I decided to write an article about it and dispel the doubts not only of those who received my answer, but also of people who are just starting to be interested in it.
In today’s digital age, where consumers seek information online, having a solid website is a key element of business success. It is not only a showcase of your brand, but also a powerful tool for attracting customers, building trust and driving sales. Below are some of the main reasons why, in my opinion, investing in a professional website is essential for every business.

However, a website that is good in terms of design, UX and content is not everything. By optimizing for SEO and regularly adding valuable content, you can improve your visibility in search results, which increases the chance of reaching potential customers. Therefore, when creating your website, make sure that it is optimized for search engines and that you regularly add content, for example in the form of a blog or news. It is also important to be consistent and add valuable content regularly.
A professional-looking website builds trust. Customers tend to find companies with a solid website more trustworthy and professional. Customer opinions and their list, obtained certificates, ongoing implementations and other interesting information about the company help build this trust.
Credibility and trust are related not only to the tool itself, which is the website, but also to an element that many people who start their own business do not pay attention to, i.e. the e-mail address. When you have a website, you also use a selected domain, within which you can create a professional e-mail address. Many people starting a business do not pay attention to this and use addresses from free mailboxes, such as Gmail. The safety of these boxes is one thing, it has been talked about a lot in the media in recent years. However, credibility is more important. If, as a potential customer, we receive an offer from an e-mail address, e.g. @google.com, this will certainly raise our suspicions about the credibility of the company.
The website provides an easy and quick way to communicate with customers. Contact forms, online chats and FAQ sections allow for immediate answers to questions and solving customer problems.
The Internet eliminates geographical barriers. With a website, your company can reach customers around the world. This opens up unlimited opportunities for development and expansion. If your company’s offer has international potential, make sure that it is created in different language versions, corresponding to the regions where the company has development potential.
A website is the foundation for effective online marketing activities. Blogging, social media, and PPC advertising campaigns – all these activities can be more effective if they direct traffic to a well-designed website.
Thanks to analytical tools such as Google Analytics or Google Search Console, you can track user behavior on the website, find out what works and what doesn’t, what keywords people search for your website enter, how the website positions for these words, etc. On On this basis, you can then make informed decisions regarding the optimization and development of the website, as well as the offer.
In today’s competitive business world, having a solid website is no longer an option but a necessity. This is a key element of building a brand, acquiring customers and achieving success. Investing in a professional website may be the best step you can take to develop your business.
